Stacy Slinkard
After a six year stint in the brewing industry, Stacy realized her palate preferences leaned more towards grapes than grains. Today, she is a wine writer, educator and sommelier. Stacy holds an advanced Wine & Spirits Education Trust WSET® Level 3 Award and has her Master’s degree in Public Health. She is committed to ongoing coursework in the study of wine, both in the vineyard and the classroom, while her background and experience propel her international search for the best wines at the best price points.
Stacy is currently the online editor and writer for About.com’s wine site and recently wrapped up the third edition of the Idiot’s Guide to Wine. She has also written for the New York Times, The Daily Meal, Epicurean Charlotte and other wine-soaked outlets. With experience in cellar management, wine procurement, sommelier services, teaching wine education classes, along with coordinating professional and corporate wine tastings, Stacy’s wine themes run the gamut and enable her to make the most of a diverse vinous background.

Clive Pursehouse
Clive fell in love with wine when he relocated to the Pacific Northwest from his native Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Clive’s still partial to the wines of Washington and Oregon but he’s learned to open up a bit to wines from all over the world. Clive has a Masters degree in Philosophy and his day job has him working in sustainability in higher education. Ultimately Clive is kinda cheap and so he’s up for sharing with you the deals he finds for himself.
Clive is the contributing wine writer to Peloton magazine, a road cycling lifestyle magazine as well as the editor in chief of the wine blog The Northwest Wine Anthem. Clive has contributed to Nectar, Drink What You Like, Wine Without Worry with Jameson Fink, Woodinville Wine Country Magazine and the cycling news publication Velo News. He also races bicycles in his spare time.
