The 2013 Zenato Lugana di San Benedetto comes from the Lugana DOC which is partially in Veneto as well as the region of Lombardy along the southern shores of Lake Garda in Northern Italy. This particular wine is made from 100% Trebbiano, Italy’s most widely planted grape (known in France as Ugni Blanc, which is used to make Cognac).
A beautifully aromatic white wine, the dynamic aromatics leap from the glass in the form of tropical fruits, citrus, and flowers. The palate offers up the super round fruit flavors of pineapple, apricot and peach and a zippy, zesty acidity that creates an outstanding, well-balanced wine with loads of freshness.
Pairing Picks: Ceviche, grilled shrimp dishes as well as Thai or Vietnamese cuisine.
